Acclaimed Australian electronic producer Golden Features shares Human Movement’s official remix for his latest single ‘Vigil’ via Foreign Family Collective / Warner Music Australia.
Following the conclusion of his North American headline tour, which saw multiple sold-out shows and the debut BRONSON performance in New York City, Golden Features has enlisted Lebanese-Australian artist Human Movement to remix ‘Vigil’.
Adding a dose of his 90’s underground flavor, Human Movement takes the dark, omniscient sounds of “Vigil” and flips it into a hypnotic breakbeat remake. Kicking up the pace with double-time percussion, Human Movement inserts his retro rave flare throughout the Golden Features original.
Regarding the remix, Human Movement says, “I was super excited to be asked to remix ‘Vigil’. I had a few ideas straight away when I heard the original and made a couple of edits. I ended up going with the garage version as I think that brought out the original elements best.”
Golden Features has turned out to be an apt name for the artist born Tom Stell. It’s a nod to the gold mask he wears while performing, but the Australian electronic producer has had a literal golden run since bursting onto the scene in 2014 with two platinum and six gold ARIA certifications for his tracks, 275+ million global streams for his music, and an acclaimed and beloved 2018 debut album SECT (#1 iTunes, Triple J’s Feature Album). Stell set out on an accompanying tour that included slots at major US festivals including Coachella Ultra Music Festival, and formed the BRONSON project and self-titled album in 2020 with stadium-conquering duo ODESZA.
Human Movement has gained widespread recognition for his unique brand of forward-thinking dance music, inspired by a love of hard-edged UK garage, 90’s house and old school rave. Following breakthrough EPs, a pair of smash collaborative singles and vast experience on the live front, the Eora artist has amassed a cult following including nods from respected peers DJ Seinfeld, Logic1000, Ciel, Eris Drew, TSHA, Andras, Daniel Avery plus BBC Radio 1 stalwarts Sarah Story, Danny Howard, and Pete Tong.
